Morning panels* (main auditorium)
10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.(Panel 1) – Developing relationships with people with lived experience. What works and what are the challenges
10:30 a.m. – 10:50 a.m.(Break)
10:50 a.m. – 11:20 a.m. (Panel 2) – What do people with lived experience need to know in order to be effective?
11:20 a.m. – 11:50 a.m.(Panel 3) – How do we recognize the contributions of people with lived experience?
11:50 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. (Lunch) – Unstructured to support connections, discussions, and breaks
Workshops** (main auditorium, pink cube East, pink cube West)
12:50 p.m. – 1:20 p.m.(Workshop 1): How to engage people with lived experience. Including how to ensure diverse persons are involved, how to avoid over-burdening communities, individuals and organizations involved in research.
1:20 p.m. – 1:50 p.m.(Workshop 2): How to prepare people with lived experience to engage with research. Including required forms, training (if applicable) and maintaining relationships between researchers and people with lived experience.
1:50 p.m. – 2:20 p.m.(Break)
2:20 p.m. – 2:50 p.m.(Workshop 3): How to recognize people with lived experience. Including compensation, other forms of recognition e.g. co-authorship, compensation policies and processes and tax implications
2:50 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.(Call to Action, Crowd sourced feedback, Closing Remarks)

*Panels will involve an interviewer and 4 panelists per panel to provide brief introductions and thoughts on the topics below.

**All in-person attendees will be allocated to one of three groups when registering on the day – attendees will stay in their designated room throughout the afternoon and workshop facilitators will rotate between groups so all groups will participate in all workshop topics. Hybrid attendees will attend all three workshops virtually in our main auditorium. All attendees are invited to contribute by sharing perspectives, questions and views at the afternoon workshops.
