Reimagining NORCs – Team

A collage of four images showing diverse older adults embracing and smiling. The first pair includes two women hugging indoors, the second image shows an elderly couple outdoors, the third captures two women with gray hair hugging and laughing, and the fourth group of three people is sitting outside at a table, enjoying each other's company in a relaxed setting.

Team

Our teams work hand in hand; the NORC Innovation Centre (NIC) at UHN provides the design and implementation of the NORC model in select sites in Toronto including Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation sites. They team up with onsite building committees and residents to offer events and supports that are tailored to their needs.

Barrie Housing leads the implementation of NORC programming in selected sites in Barrie, under the guidance of NIC. Women’s Age Lab focuses on studying the implementation process in Toronto and Barrie to understand enablers and barriers to implementing successful NORC programs. All partners are highly collaborative and value equitable resident and community engagement in the implementation and research processes.
