

Gabrielle Katz
Gabrielle is a second-year medical student at the University of Toronto who is conducting research with the Women’s Age Lab under the supervision of Dr. Nathan Stall. Gabrielle was awarded the University of Toronto Summer Older Adult Research Award (SOAR) to support her work. Her project focuses on the impacts of climate change on older adults.

Laura Fusca
Laura is a research student working under the supervision of Dr. Rachel Savage in the Women’s Age Lab this summer. She is currently a second-year medical student at the University of Toronto Temerty Faculty of Medicine. She previously received her Master of Public Health specializing in epidemiology from the University of Toronto, and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science from the University of Ottawa. This summer, she is assisting with research focused on understanding loneliness among older and young adults in our community.

Zoë Mohan
Zoë a first-year medical student at the Queen’s University MD program. She is passionate about all things women’s health, and she looks forward to continuing to expand her knowledge base while also building connections and skills from the team.

Mahnaz Khomamizadeh
Mahnaz is a second-year medical student at Temerity Faculty of Medicine. Her prior research background primarily focused on the intersectionality of social determinants of health as well as working toward evaluating the efficacy of publicly funded interventions to help advocate for improved accessibility and public health.

Joelle Li
Joelle is a clinical clerk at the Temetry Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Her volunteer work in the community inspires her research interests, which include health equity, particularly regarding the health of older women and immigrant and refugee health populations. This summer she is working on a scoping review focused on gender and gender-related variables pertaining to potentially inappropriate medication prescribing among older adults.
