What or who inspired you to join the Emily Stowe Scholars Program (ESSP)?
Curiosity. I have never engaged in research, in a full fledged team, and in a hospital. I just wanted to see how everything works – to have the opportunity to experience the environment, to engage in research for the first time, and to be able to do that is such an amazing thing to work towards.

What was your first impression of Women’s College Hospital?
In terms of architecture, the pink cube stood out to me right away – I feel like it has some sort of symbolism that just makes the building very unique and meaningful. The hospital to me is very modern, but in contrast to the rigidity of design the Women’s College Hospital has a nice artisticness to it (like the flowy walls in the lobby)

What interests you most about the area of research that you’re working in?
How researchers make findings from analyzing data, for example, how can they organize and compare data in such a way that they address their research questions.

What do you think you will enjoy the most about being part of ESSP?
It is the fact that I would be witnessing the pioneering of science, the people who are standing at the very frontier and working to expand humans’ horizons – it is just amazing.

Personal or professional answers welcome: What is something that makes you smile?
People being kind to each other; a very productive day; and delicious, freshly served food. (Or a funny fail youtube video)
